dc.description.abstractIn Ayurveda Chenopodium Linn. is well-known for its applications in the treatment of various ailments like pectoral complaints, cough, abdominal pain, pulmonary obstruction and in nervous affections. On the basis of recent pharmacological studies some additional medicinal properties of various species of the genus have been established. In the present paper an attempt has been made to summarize the traditional uses and reported biological activities of the genus for further studies.en_US
