This study presents deodorizer (DO) distillate as a cheaper source of fatty acid to prepare alkyd resins. DO distillate-based alkyd resins provide encouraging film properties, except for color and clarity of resins. Thus, DO distillate based fatty acids are being explored as raw materials for alkyd resins in architectural coating applications.en_US
