Abstract: Herein is reported the synthesis and investigation of novel pyridine-based quaternary ammonium salts of phenol derivatives, obtained using the Mannich reaction. The biological activity of the synthesized compounds has been investigated against gram-negative E. coli and gram-positive S. aureus bacteria and C. albicans and A. niger fungi. In addition to this, their anticorrosive properties have also been investigated.
