Abstract: The present research work deals with the synthesis, characterization and analgesic activity of some novel tetrazolo and triazolodiazepine compounds. The structures of the compounds have been confirmed by IR, 1H and 13C NMR, mass and elemental analysis. The analgesic activity of the tetrazolodiazepine compounds have been tested by Hot Plate Method, Tail Flip Method and Acetic acid Induced Writhing Method. The results of the study reveal that the representative compounds taken for the study show promising analgesic activity. Among the tested compounds, the compounds 3c and 5c having chlorine substituent show greater activity than the other derivatives.
