| Abstract: | Complexes of the type UCl2(β-diketonate).nL, where β-diketonate = CF3COCHCOR- [R=CF3 CH3, C4H3S or C6H5 and denoted by HFAA, lFAA, ITA and BTA respectively] and L= tetrahydrofuran (THF) or 1,2-dimethoxyethane (DME) have been prepared and characterised by elemental analyses, infrared and mass spectral techniques. Vapour pressure of UCl2(HFAA)2.2THF has been measured by transpiration method in the temperature range of 309-394 K. The enthalpy ofvaporisation has been estimated to be 99.2 kJ mol-1. |
