Abstract: Dioxooxalatofluorovanadates (V), M1/2[VO2(C2)4)F], where M = Na+, K+, NH, 1/2Ni2+, 1/3Co(NH3) and 1/3Co(en (en= ethylenediamine) have been isolated and characterized. Molar conductivity of K2[VO2(C2O4)F] at different dilutions indicates that it dissociates primarily into 2K+ and [VO2(C2O4)F]2- ions. IR data reveal the presence of chelated oxalate group. A strong band in the IR spectra of the compounds at 350-360 em -1 suggests their polymeric nature and existence of -V-F-V-chains. The TGA data of potassium and cobaltammine complexes reveal their decomposition around 80°C.
