| Abstract: | Solid 1:1 molecular complexes of pyridine, ɑ-, β- and γ- picolines and 2-aminopyridine with iodine have been prepared. The infrared spectra of these complexes show that iodine complexes of pyridine and picolines are neutral whereas that of 2-aminopyridine is ionic in the ground state. |
