| Abstract: | Excess volumes of mixing of partially miscible binaries, viz. n-hexane + acetonitrile, n-heptane + acetonitrile and cyclohexane + acetonitrile have been determined at 298.15 K and 305.15 K. The values of VE for all the mixtures are positive over the entire range of composition. Over the partially miscible two-phase regions, the excess volume is a linear function of composition. |
