Abstract: Complexes of the type [Mo(CO)5(PR3)] and [Mo(CO)4(PR3)2] (PR3 = PMeth2, PEtth2, PPh2th, PPhth2, Pth3; th = 2-thienyl) have been prepared and characterized by elemental analyses and IR and 31P{1H}NMR data. The [Mo(CO)4 (PR3)2]complexes exist in cisĀ­-configuration. Oxidative addition of bromine to [Mo(CO)3(Br2(PR3)2] yields [Mo(CO)3Br2(PR3)2].
