dc.description.abstractTitanium aryloxides of the type TiClx(OR)4-x [(where x = 1, 2, 3 or 4; ROH = 3, 5-dimethylphenol (Ar'OH), 3, 5-di-t-butylphenol (A'r"OH) and 2, 5-dimethylphenol (Ar" 'OH)] have been prepared and characterized by IR, PMR and molecular weight measurements. Molecular weight determinations exhibit an interesting variation in the molecular complexity depending upon the nature and extent of substituents oh the aryloxy ligand. The Lewis acid behaviour of these new aryloxides has also been investigated.en_US
