Abstract: The excess enthalpies of mixing (HE) of partially miscible liquid pairs of aniline with n-hexane, n-heptane and water have been determined at 300.05K (T1) and 321.35K (T2) in both miscible and partially miscible regions of composition. Positive deviations from ideality are observed. The excess enthalpies of mixing, HE(mix), in the two phase regions vary linearly with composition but the partial molar enthalpies, (mix), of the components are ind9Jendent of composition in this region. The plots of versus composition show sudden discontinuities at compositions corresponding to maximum mutual solubilities of the components.
