The contribution of marine capture fisheries production from Baluchistan is almost 34% of total fisheries production in Pakistan. Nevertheless, little attention has been paid from provincial and federal governments, which lead to severe constraints in the development of Balochistan fisheries sector. Immediate steps such as control of over-fishing, revision of existing policies, assessment of stock status, better monitoring and surveillance and improvement of existing infrastructure are required for the betterment of this sector in the region. This study also highlights that future investment opportunities are still present in this sector, which may grab the attention of private stakeholders.en_US
