Abstract: | Jaydia striata, is reported from West Bengal coast along the east coast of India. This forms its first record from the Bay of Bengal as well as east coast of India. Systematic account of the species along with its mouth-brooding evidence is provided in the present article. Their differences from other congeners known from Indian waters were examined in this study. |
