| Abstract: | Complexes of the type [UCl2 (β-diket)2nL], where β-diket = CF3COCHCOCF3 - (TFAA), CH3COCHCOCF3- (TFAA), C4H3SCOCHCOCF3-(TTA) and C6H5COCHCOC6H5 - (DBM), and L = tetrahydropyran (THP) or 1,4-dioxane (DIOX), have been prepared and characterized by elemental analysis, infrared, NMR and mass spectral techniques. Vapour pressure of UCl2 (HFAA)2. 2THP has been measured by transpiration method in the temperature range of 316-387 K. Its enthalpy of vaporisation has been estimated to be 79.1 kJ mol-1. |
