| Abstract: | Seasonal variations and distribution of free phosphatase in coastal marine sediments of Porto Novo are reported. High enzyme activity is recorded during premonsoon season (July-Sept.). Results of the present study show that production-of phosphatase is repressible when excess inorganic orthophosphate is present. |
