Abstract: | Seasonal changes in temperature, light and pH and in the concentrations of dissolved oxygen, salinity, phosphate-P, nitrate-N, nitrite-N and silicate-Si have been recorded from 3 selected stations in the Kadinamkulam Backwaters presently exposed to pollution from retting of coconut husks. The nature, degree and extent of ecological changes undergone by this backwaters have been discussed. |
