Abstract: Methanol extracts of fruits of Randia brandisii (Gamble) and Sapindus trifoliatus (Vahl) were assessed for marine antifouling properties. The coatings of these crude extracts on aluminium coupons were found to inhibit settlement of macrofoulers in estuarine water and bacterial foulers in laboratory.
