Abstract: The nucleating behaviour of partially wettable, water insoluble curved substrates has been discussed. Nucleation rate in ion induced case has been found to be enhanced. The variations in the enhancement factor have been discussed as the function of supersaturation ratio, temperature and angle of contact. Also the critical supersaturation ratio has been found to decrease in ion induced case. Comparison has also been made between convex and concave substrates.
