Abstract: Results on attenuation of radio waves in frequencies between 10 GHz and 400 GHz for different rain rates are presented. The results were derived on the basis of rain rates measured over Delhi by using a rapid response rain gauge. The values of attenuation deduced by using the measured rain-rate data are more than those obtained by using the rain-rate data given in Radiometeorological Data, CCIR Report No. 563-4, 1990.
