Abstract: | A number of pyrimidine derivatives 1-3, 5-19 have been synthesized by condensation of bis(2-(vinyloxy))ethylamine, cyclopropylamine, N-(2-amino-4-ethoxyphenyl)acetamide, 2-(aminomethyl thiophene), 2-thiophen ethylamine, 2-hydrazinopyridine, 1-aminonaphthalen-2-ol hydrochloride, furfuryl amine, 2-(4-imidazolyl)ethylamine, 2-picolylamine and 4-methoxyl-2-nitroaniline with various isothiocyanatoketones. These compounds have been screened for anti-inflammatory and analgesic activities. Compounds 10 and 14 have exhibited 40% and 39% anti-inflammatory and compound 11 has showed 75% analgesic activity at 100 mg/kg p.o. respectively. |
