| Abstract: | Nine arylazo derivatives of 2-(acetoacetamido) pyridine have been prepared for use as dyestuffs. The effect of the nature and orientation of substituents in the diazonium component on the colour of azodyes is discussed. The dyeing performance of the dyes on polyester fibres has been assessed. |
