Abstract: | The impact of heat treatment under relaxed condition on the mechanical characteristics of polyester viscose ring and MJS yarns has been studied. Heat treatment markedly decreases the rigidity of both ring and MJS yarns, but the loss in tensile strength is also considerably higher. The decrease in rigidity is highly dependent on the blend ratio, yarn tex and type of Spinning system. Some other changes in yarn properties include remarkably enhanced breaking extension accompanied by deterioration in evenness. |
