Abstract: An experiment was conducted to see the effect of ringing at different intervals (one, two and three weeks) before planting and varying concentrations (0, 200, 400, 600, 800, 1000 ppm) of indole-3-butyric acid on stem (semi-hardwood) cuttings of Lagerstroemia lancasteri under intermittent mist. The combination of an interval of two weeks between ringing and planting, 400 ppm IBA and intermittent mist conditions gave maximum rooting (80%) and survival (90%).
