Abstract: Exitation  functions  for 85Rb(α, 2n) 87Y,85Rb(α ,3n)86Y ,85Rb(α,4n) 87Y have been measured using stacked foil activation technique followed by off-line γ-spectroscopy method. The experimentally measured excitation functions have been compared with the theoretical predictions with and without the inclusion of pre-equilibrium  emission of particles, made by Alice -9 1code . The high-energy tail of the excitation functions show substantial contribution from pre-equilibrium emission .
