| Abstract: | Four lignans, namely, (+)-simplexolin 1, (+)-sesamolin 2, Justicidin E 3, and (-)-xanthoxylol 4, in addition to sitosterol-3-O-glucoside, have been isolated and characterized from J. orbiculata. 1 and 2 belong to the rare group of aryloxyfurofurans and their 13C NMR data are assigned through 2D NMR spectral data. |
