| Abstract: | Two new diphyllin glycosides, neesiinosides
A and B, have been isolated from the methanol extract of Justicia neesii. The
compounds are identified as diphyllin-4-O-[β- -glucopy
ranosyl (1→2)]-β--xylopyranoside
1 and diphyllin-4-O-[β--glucopyranosyl
(1→2)]-β--xylopyranoside 2, respectively by 2D NMR data and chemical transformations.
Diphyllin 4 obtained during hydrolysis of neesiinosides A and B, is
converted into a series of diphyllin esters 5-11, metabolites of Sauropus
quadrangularis. |
