| Abstract: | Several new substituted benzo(b)thiophene 2, 5-imidazolinones 3a-j, sulphonamides 4a-j , azomethines 5a-j have been synthesised and assayed for in vitro antimicrobial activity. The characterization of the products have been done on the basis of elemental analyses, IR, 1H NMR and mass spectral data. |
