Abstract: The ruthenium complexes of the type [{(phen)2Ru}2(μ-L)] (ClO4)2, [{(py)4Ru}2(μ-L)] (ClO4)2, [{(PPh3)3 Ru}2(μ-L)](ClO4)2 and [{(Me2SO)3Ru}2 (μ-L)](Cl)2 (where phen=l,10-phenanthroline, py=pyridine, PPh3=triphenylphosphine, Me2SO=dimethyl-sulphoxide and L=dianion of 2,5-dihydroxy-1,4-benzoquinone) have been synthesised and characterized by elemental analysis, IR, NMR and voltammetric studies.
