Abstract: | Correlation coefficients were calculated for different morpho-physiological traits of chickpea with biological yield and seed yield under different environments. The biological yield had positive correlation with number of primary branches, relative water content (RWC), crop growth rate (CGR), net assimilation rate (NAR), seed yield and heat use efficiency and negative correlation with membrane injury index (MII) and days to different phenophases. Seed yield had positive correlation with leaf area index (LAI), total chlorophyll content, CGR, number of seeds per pods, biological yield, harvest index and heat use efficiency and negative correlation with MII, protein content and days to different phenophases. |
