Abstract: In this paper, a novel lossless floating inductor simulator with four resistors, a grounded capacitor and five two-terminal active components such as negative impedance converter, current follower and voltage follower, is presented. The capacitor in the floating inductor simulator is grounded, which provides suitability for integrated circuit fabrication. However, it needs resistive matching conditions. The passive inductor of a series R-L-C voltage-mode filter is replaced by the present floating inductor simulator to give an application example. In order to show performance, theoretical findings are supported via a number of SPICE simulations and some experimental measurements.
