Abstract: | Seabuckthorn (Hippophae rhamnoides Linn.) also called Sallow thorn belonging to the family Elaeagnaceae, is a deciduous shrub with yellow or orange fruits (Li, 1996). It rapidly develops an extensive root system and is therefore, an ideal plant for preventing soil erosion (Yao and Tigerstedt, 1994). |
