Title: Clinical trial of Basti in Amavata

Abstract: In this study 40 amavata patients have been selected and randomly divided into two groups. First group was given Bruhat Saindhvadi Tail Matra Basti for 8 days whereas second group was given niruha basti (in term of yoga basti) for 8 days. Total duration of treatment was one month. In Bruhat saindhvadi tail matra basti (Group 1) 60% patients have shown excellent result, 15% patients have shown good results and 10% patients have shown fair results. While in Yog Basti (Group 2) 55% patients have shown excellent results, 15% patients have shown good results and 15% patients have shown fair results. No patient found unchanged. So we can say that both the groups have shown excellent results for Amavata.
