Abstract: This study presents optimization of performance characteristics in wire electrical discharge machining (WEDM) using Taguchi method and Grey relational analysis. Performance characteristics (cutting speed, surface roughness and dimensionallag) were investigated during rough cutting operation. Process parameters (peak current, pulse-on, pulse-off, wire speed and wiretension) were investigated using mixed L18 orthogonal array.
