| Abstract: | The photocatalytic bleaching of amaranth over zinc oxide
powder was observed spectrophotometrically. The effects of the concentration of
amaranth, pH, amount of semiconductor, light intensity on the rate of the
photocatalytic bleaching were also studied. A tentative mechanism for the
photocatalytic bleaching of amaranth is proposed. |
