Abstract: Fruit-The scientists at U S Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service,Eastern Regional Research Center,United States and J. J. Strossmayer University,Osijek,Croatia have investigated a browning inhibitor for fresh-cut apples hat would not support human pathogen survival.

Insecticide/Fungicide/Herbicide-Ageratum conyzoides Linn., commonly known as Billy goat weed is found wildly in many parts of India. The scientists at Faculty of Agriculture, Miyazaki University,Japan and Department of Crop Science, College of Life and Environment Science, Konkuk University, Republic of Korea evaluated the phytotoxic action of this herb on weeds like Echinochloa crus-galli var. formosensis Ohwi., Monochoria vaginalis (Bnrm.f.) Persil var. plantaginea Solms. and Aeschynomene indica Linn. in paddy fields.
