| Abstract: | Atomic force
microscopy (AFM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and magnetization
measurements by vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM) were used for estimation
and comparison of size of magnetite particles in physiology solution based
magnetic fluid (MF). The mean particle diameter values were 7.6 nm, 9.3 nm and
10.6 obtained by AFM, VSM and TEM, respectively. For the analysis of AFM
pictures the more precise method was
developed where the particle size was calculated as the geometrical mean of
sizes in all three dimensions. The structural stability of prepared MF was
affirmed by the ultrasonic measurements. |
