Abstract: A series of 3-substituted-1,2,4-triazolo[3,4-<i style="">b</i>]-1,3,4-thiadiazol-6-yl-2-(2,4-dichloro-5-fluorophenyl)quinolines <b>5 </b>have been synthesized by the condensation of hitherto unreported quinoline-4-carboxylic acids <b>3</b> with various 3-substituted-4-amino-5-mercapto-1,2,4-triazoles <b>4</b>. The structures of newly synthesized compounds have been confirmed on the basis of elemental analysis, IR, <sup>1</sup>H NMR and mass spectral data. The newly synthesized compounds are evaluated for their antibacterial activities.
