Abstract: Ten new <i>N</i>'-(4, 6-disubstituted-pyrimidin-2-yl)-<i>N</i>-(5-aryl-2-furoyl)thioureas have been synthesized using PEG-400 as solid-liquid phase transfer catalyst under ultrasonic irradiation. Their structures were exactly confirmed by IR, <sup>1</sup>H NMR and elemental analysis. The preliminary biological tests show that compound <b>7b</b> has better inhibitory activities against root and stalk of dicotyledon plant (such as <i>Amaranthus retroflexus</i> <i>L.</i>) in higher concentration.
