| Abstract: | Some new
2,3,6-trisubstituted quinazolin-4(3H)-ones
5 have been synthesized by Ullmann condensation of substituted
anthranilic acids 4 and substituted benzothiazolylquinazolines 3,
which are synthesized by condensation of 6-bromo-2-substituted quinazolin-4(3H)-one 1 and various substituted
2-aminobenzothiazoles 2 in the presence of pyridine. All the compounds
in this series have been screened for their anti-bacterial activity. |
