| Abstract: | 1,3-Dipolar
cycloaddition reaction of variously substituted aldonitrones with N-benzyl
maleimide leads to the synthesis of substituted 2, 3-diaryl-5-benzyl-2H-3, 3a, 4, 5, 6,
6a-hexahydropyrrolo[3, 4-d]
isoxazole-4, 6-diones in good yield. Structures and stereochemistry of the
products have been determined by detailed spectral studies. |
