| Abstract: | Ten new fluorine containing 1,
5-disubstituted hydantoins/thiohydantoi-
ns 3 have been synthesized by
a microwave-assisted solvent-free condensation of arylglyoxals1 and phenylurea/thiourea 2 using acidic alumina as a solid
support. These compounds have been characterized on the basis of elemental
analysis, IR, 1H NMR and MS. Compounds have been evaluated for their
antibacterial activity. |
