Abstract: 6-Aryl-2-(β-D-glucopyranosyl)-3-oxo-2,3-dihydro-1,3,4-oxadiazolo[3,2-<i>b</i>]-1,2,4,6-thiatriazine-1,1-dioxides <b>4</b> have been conveniently prepared from 6-aryl-3-oxo-2,3-dihydro-1,3,4-oxadiazolo[3,2-<i>b</i>]-1,2,4,6-thiatriazine-1,1-dioxides <b>2</b> by reaction of β-D-1,2,3,4,6-penta-O-acetylglucopyranose and iodine. Thiatriazines <b>2 </b>are synthesized by reported method from 2-amino-5-aryl-1,3,4-oxadiazole with chlorosulfonyl isocyanate (CSI) and diisopropyl ethylamine (DIEA). All the compounds have been tested <i>in vitro </i>for their antifungal activity against the two fungal species <i>Cephalosporium saccharii</i> and <i>Colletotrichum falcatum</i>.
