Abstract: 6-Aryl-2-(β-D-glucopyranosyl)-3-oxo-2,3-dihydro-1,3,4-oxadiazolo[3,2-b]-1,2,4,6-thiatriazine-1,1-dioxides 4 have been conveniently prepared from 6-aryl-3-oxo-2,3-dihydro-1,3,4-oxadiazolo[3,2-b]-1,2,4,6-thiatriazine-1,1-dioxides 2 by reaction of β-D-1,2,3,4,6-penta-O-acetylglucopyranose and iodine. Thiatriazines 2 are synthesized by reported method from 2-amino-5-aryl-1,3,4-oxadiazole with chlorosulfonyl isocyanate (CSI) and diisopropyl ethylamine (DIEA). All the compounds have been tested in vitro for their antifungal activity against the two fungal species Cephalosporium saccharii and Colletotrichum falcatum.
