Abstract: | The ethyl acetate soluble portion of the initial CH2Cl2-MeOH extract of the stems of the Indian mangrove plant, Dalbergia spinosa Roxb furnishes a new neoflavonoid 1 besides four known triterpenoids and a neoflavonoid 6. The structure of new neoflavonoid has been established as 2,4-dihydroxy-5-methoxy-1-(1-phenyl-2-propenyl)benzene 1. |
