Abstract: An acidic ionic liquid [bmim]HSO4 has been used as catalyst for simple, green and efficient synthesis of an array of 3,4-dihydropyrimidin-2-(1H)-ones using thermal and microwave irradiation. Products have been obtained in high state of purity and good yields using this one pot methodology.
