| Abstract: | Morphological changes with thickness, and the
subsequent effect on the membrane permeability have been discussed
qualitatively. It is concluded that some morphological elements favor transport
and some hinder. Flux models based on interface reaction have been successfully
applied to describe quantitatively the thickness-dependence of the
membrane-permeability and the model parameters (diffusion transport
coefficient, surface reaction constants) evaluated. |
