| Abstract: | The present paper
describes medicinal properties of mangroves and halophytes used by local
inhabitants of Pichavaram village on East coast of Tamil Nadu, collected
through survey of the area. Information on 11 species from 8 families used for
therapeutic purposes with their botanical names, vernacular names, family,
habit and manner of using recipes have been enumerated. |
