| Abstract: | Gas-solid reaction rates for an ellipsoidal particle have
been derived in this paper. The shrinking core model has been considered for
this purpose. The progress of the reaction front with time for different
controlling regimes, namely, gas film resistance controlled, diffusion in the
ash layer controlled and chemical reaction controlled have been dealt with,
separately. |
