Abstract: The dielectric constant and electrical conductivity of laboratory prepared cement paste, using X-band microwave technique in the frequency range 8.5-11.5 GHz have been studied. The cement was mixed with different waters, in a water to cement ratio (w/c) of 0.3, 0.4 and 0.5. With the help of dielectric constant and electrical conductivity, the hydration reactions of the cement pastes have been studied.
