Abstract: The vapour phase absorption spectrum 2-fluoronaphthalene has been recorded under high resolution. The vibronic bands involving ground and excited normal vibrations have been assigned on the basis of their rotational contours.Many new vibrational frequencies have been reported for the first time in the excited state of 2-fluoronaphthalene.
