Abstract: Nanotechnology is a growing field and there has been a lot of development going on in this field. Carbon nanotube has brought remarkable changes in the field of electronics. Their remarkable electronic properties make them potential candidates for interconnection in complex wiring schemes. The present paper deals with basic structure of carbon nanotubes, their various properties with their strategies followed during their synthesis for proper positioning as interconnect at nanoscale regime with different approaches of integration in interconnect architectures.
